The 1970 Cougar was similar to the 1969 model, however several changes were made throughout the car. A new front end with a pronounced center hood protrusion. High back bucket seats that were an option on the 69' Cougar Eliminator were now standard on all trim levels in 1970. Revised taillights and front bumper and front fender extensions were just some of the other minor changes to set the 1970 Cougar apart from previous models. Total production fell every year since its inception in 1967 (150,893), and was less than half in 1970 (72,343). Powering this 70' Cougar convertible is a 351 CID Windsor V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor matched to a FMX 4 speed automatic transmission. The power steering and power brakes make driving this classic Cougar drop-top as easy as a modern car, but with all the style and fun of an early 70's muscle car.
