Chrysler made waves in the muscle car market once again when they brought back the Challenger for 2008. The redesign gave a modern take on a 1970 Challenger which was an instant success. The entire US run of '08 models was pre-sold and many fetched well over MSRP. Challengers could be had with 3 engines: the base was a 3.5L V6, the RT got a 5.9L Hemi V8, and the SRT8 got the fire breathing 6.1L Hemi V8. The 6.1 Hemi is good for 425 HP in this application and will get you from 0-60 in the mid 4 second range. Quarter mile times should be just a hair over 13 seconds which is rather impressive for a 4,000+ pound machine. This particular SRT is finished in black and sits on 20" Alcoa wheels. Peek through the 5 spokes and you'll see Brembo brake calipers and slotted brake discs. The interior is just as spec-ed up as the exterior. Inside you'll find heated leather upholstery adorned with SRT embroidery and suede inserts. The center stack houses a 7" infotainment screen with AM/FM/CD and Sirius radio. Needless to say this modern day muscle car comes a bit more well equipped than its 1970's grandfather.
