Painted Raven Black with a white roof and equipped with spoked hub caps with spinner knock offs and white wall tires, this certainly has the look of the 60's. Believed to be 90% original and for the most part, unrestored. Powering this 500 XL is the original 289 cubic inch V8 and three speed automatic transmission. recently a new water pump, new muffler and new rear bumper have been installed for maintenance reasons. Inside are black vinyl bucket seats, center console and a white headliner to match the exterior's color combination. The 500 was the top of the line model and the XL added trim and a floor mounted shifter and bucket seats. 1964 was the fourth and last year for this body style. 58,306 Ford Galaxie 2 door hardtops were produced in 1964. This is one of very few that are this original. A lot of them have been restored to original specs, but their only original once.
