1930 Ford Model A

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1930 Ford Model A Town Sedan. This Model A has had the same owner since 1965 and recently the restoration was freshened up for a new proud owner. In the last six months the car has been fitted with six new Firestone white wall tires, floor mats, turn signals, front and rear stainless steel bumpers and a new Mohair interior. The paint is only three years old and looks amazing. The engine was rebuilt 4 years ago. This Model A is ready for the parades, car cruises or just to the local burger joint. The Model A was built from 1927 until 1931 and roughly 4,320,446 were produced in that time. There were approximately 16 models available and some of those had sub models. Today's cars do not offer such a variety. This model is the Town Sedan. There were roughly 120,000 produced. Ford had factories located all over the world. Six locations in the States and nine other spread throughout the world. Equipment was minimal. Head lights with high and low beam, usually two taillights, a speedometer with an odometer, wipers, a fuel gauge and an amperes gauge. Other notable items inside the vehicles include a floor mounted shifter, a manual choke, throttle control and advance controls operated via stick behind the steering wheel. This one is also equipped with two side mounted spare tires and four doors. If you are considering a Model A and you plan on taking more than one passenger, seriously consider a four door model.
