Yes it was 1971 and this beautiful red Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 was born. It is now for sale in our St Louis showroom with 101,000 actual miles. The 400 cubic inch Ram Air engine is believed to be numbers matching and has 300 horsepower that is transmitted to 3:08 gears and a 4 speed transmission. This Firebird was born with a TH400 automatic transmission, but was retrofitted with the 4 speed manual transmission later in it's life. The engine only has 2,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt one year ago. This 1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 also has power brakes, power steering, tilt wheel, vinyl interior, Radial tires with raised white letters and the engine is believed to be numbers matching. The exterior is painted in a brilliant Cardinal Red with the interior all in black. The interior is simple and rugged no unnessacary fluff here. Recently a new clutch and pressure plate were put on along with brand new tires and rims. To help it breath better a new Flow Master exhaust with an X pipe was added.
