Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible. Nothing says Americana like a candy red '57 Bel Air with loads of chrome and a snappy V8. The red on this show vehicle is PPG Candy Brandywine over a gold base and Clear Coat. The frame and suspension have all been finished in either black Imron, gold, or chrome so the underside is just as impressive as the top. The suspension is a custom set up which uses an dependant rear end with inboard disk brakes from a Jaguar. To match it, up front it has a Camaro front end giving 4 wheels disc brakes and heavy duty springs in all four corners. Power steering and power brakes making driving this baby a dream. She rides on Tru-Spoke wire wheels and the matching spare is mounted on the continental kit. You'll find chrome everywhere, from the one pie California bumper, to the door hardware. Pop the hood to find even more; the 327 V8 is decked out with dual 500 CFM carburetors, aluminum heads, and Hedman headers. Everything under the hood is either chrome, stainless, or polished. The interior is white, with bucket seats, and a center console. There's a Dakota digital gauge layout, as well as a Billet Specialties steering wheel. One very unique feature is in the center console: it's a 4 speed! With a 327, a 4 speed, and independent rear, it's like a Corvette hiding in the body of a Bel Air!
