1952 MG TD

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully built MG TD replica. Built to resemble a 1952 MG, and titled as a 1999 ASVE, this little gem captures the look of the MG. This is a Fiberfab body with all 1971 VW Beetle running gear. The VW power plant provides more power and more reliability in a compact and familiar package. This one features a Weber Progressive Carburetor which will get you down the road with ease. In addition, this kits adds the safety of disc brakes, seat belts, and for fun a four speaker stereo system. Although it's a compact package, this little TD has plenty of interior space for a tall driver, both in leg room and in head room.

The VW engine has great compression, and has the benefit of MSI capacitive discharge electronic ignition, MSI coil, and MSI plug wires. Other new parts include: muffler, alternator, belt, and fuel lines. The transmission has been rebuilt and given a new clutch, shifter, and shifter bushing. The brakes were not forgotten, as this one has a new master cylinder, new brakes lines, new front disc brakes, and new rear pads.

The original VW suspension has been narrowed and lowered to closer resemble the stance of a TD. It sits on new Coker Wide Whitewall radial tires and has a sharp set of chrome hubcaps. The body has been finished in British Racing Green II Metallic with clear coat. It has a new top that mimics the original TD top and it functions very nicely. All the exterior chrome is in great shape having been either replaced, re-plated, or polished. Inside you'll find beautiful tan upholstery, new carpet, seat belts, and a lovely wooden dash. The dash is real wood, as is the steering wheel. Updated electronics like the modern stereo and charging port are hidden but quickly assessable.
