Vinyl InteriorFor sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1966 Dodge Charger. The Charger first debuted as a 1966 model. It was based on the Coronet and was intended to compete with other fastback styled cars of the era. They nailed it! The back seats were bucket seats and were separated by a rear center console for a true Grand Touring look. The rear seats could also be folded down for a two seater appearance and to haul additional cargo. Power train options included a 318, 361, 383 big block and a new Street Hemi. Only 468 Chargers in '66 were equipped with the Hemi. This fine example is equipped with the 383 Magnum which includes a 4 barrel carburetor. Power is sent through a 727 Torque-Flite 3-speed automatic. This beautiful Charger is painted in Light Green with matching interior and is riding on a set of chrome Magnum 500s with radial rubber. The mileage is showing 27,447. The mileage is unknown but is believed to be original when considering the condition and lack of wear. This is a very tight car with only mild restoration performed to spruce it up a bit. The paint was scuffed and reshot with clear. The car is still with all of its original sheet metal and looks amazing. Equipment consist of power steering and Flow Master mufflers to help that big block make a little extra power.
