Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully built Factory Five Mark II Cobra. Titled as a 2004 Special Construction, this Cobra was built around 2004, but by looking at it, you'd think it was just completed. This Cobra is finished in a beautiful coat of bright Ford Poppy Red with Wimbledon White stripes. The paint has been beautifully maintained and has an eye catching look in the sunlight. It sits on a sharp set of American Racing Hopster polished aluminum wheels. These are 17x8 in front and 17x9.5 in the rear wrapped in Nitto/NT 555 tires; 245/45 front and 275/40 rear. The exterior has all the nice details you can spec these up with: chrome 2" roll bars, over rider bumpers, ceramic coated side pipes, wind wings, tinted visors (invaluable on a sunny day), and an air splitter. The body sits on tubular front suspension with coil overs and a flaming river manual steering rack. The rear has a Mustang 4 link with FFR 4 link bars and Bilstein coil over shocks. All four corners have Bear disc brakes. They are 13.6" rotors front and 12" rear with dual piston front calipers. You need plenty of stopping power because of what is under the hood. Pop the hood to reveal a beautiful engine compartment which houses a Ford Racing 302 crate engine with GT40 heads/valve train. I has a Quickfuel carb, ARP head studs, Ford Racing aluminum radiator, and energy urethane engine/trans mounts. It also has an MSD Ignition, Billet distributor, Blaster coil, and Optima battery. To push some more air, and get some more ponies out of the 302, a Procharger SC1 Supercharger has been added with an intercooler. With this set up the Cobra made 449HP and 416TQ at the wheels (with Dyno sheet). Backing the boosted 302 is a Centerforce clutch, World Class T-5 transmission with UPR shifter. This leads to a 8.8 rear end with 3:73 Richmond gears and Ford Racing axles. Obviously this thing is a performance machine, but comfort has not been forgotten. It still has a full interior, with tan leather seats, and even a finished trunk. The trunk houses some of the stereo components with provide enough sound to hear clearly even going down the highway. If you're looking for a well thought out, powerful, beautifully finished Factory Five Cobra replica, this is it.
