For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1923 Ford T-Bucket. This purple beast is powered by a 383 small block Chevy. The 383 has become a very popular engine choice for those that want big block power but prefer a small block. They are known for boat loads of torque thanks to their long stroke. This 383 is using two four barrel carburetors to feed this engine the fuel and air it needs to produce serious power. The tubular exhaust headers and side exhaust emit a great muscle car sound and look amazing too. Keeping the engine temperatures down is an aluminum radiator and an electric cooling fan. The power is sent through a TH-350 automatic transmission and back to a Ford 9-inch rear end housing 3.70 gears. Slowing down is an easy chore thanks to front disc brakes and rear drums. Tires are Mickey Thompsons and are a favorite for the T-Buckets. They really add to the aggressive and mean look that have become traditional for most T-Buckets. Inside you will find a tilt column that is a must for T-Buckets, a wood dash with easy to read Stewart Warner gauges and an easy to use B&M shifter. Some shifters are becoming ridiculously complicated to use these days, not in this case. The interior is easy on the eyes with a black vinyl bench and seat belts. There is also a CD player with a nice pair of speakers for your favorite tunes.
