The Lightning is still wearing its original tires for originality purposes. The original window sticker is included in the sale. This was the second year for the Lightning and it was clear that Chevy was worried and discontinued their SS 454. Excellent job Ford! Power for the Lightning comes from a SVT built 5.8L 351 that is equipped with GT40 heads, roller camshaft, free flowing exhaust and a special tune. Wheels were Lightning only aluminum 17x8 wheels and were fitted with 275/60HR17 Firestones. With 240 horsepower and a stump pulling 340 lbs./ft. of torque, there's no trouble melting the rear tires if one chooses to do so.
