For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a beautifully restored 1951 Ford F1 pickup. A complete body restoration was performed in 2008, the finished product is absolutely amazing! The exterior is finished in a light green that looks right out of the 1950s. The vinyl interior features gray and red upholstery, and of course the painted dash to match the exterior. The interior along with the exterior has been restored in the original style to reflect the way the truck rolled off the assembly line. Powering this 51' Ford F1 is a 239 CID 3.9L Flathead V8 engine that is mated to a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. A new aluminum radiator has been employed to keep the Flathead V8 cool while driving on hot days. Coker radial tires wrap around the painted black steel wheels with period correct hub caps. The Ford F-Series was the first truck design from Ford in the post-war era. The engine options ranged from a 226 CID inline 6 cylinder to a 317 CID 5.2L Y block V8. The transmissions were available in 3 speed, 4 speed, and 5 speed variations. The odometer on this 51' F1 reads 26,895, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1951 Ford F1 include: AM Radio, Hub Caps, Vinyl Interior, and Coker Radial Tires. This is a great example of a well restored early 50's Ford pickup, the attention to detail will not disappoint. This 51' F1 will be a great addition to any collection.
