In 1986 Buick produced only 1577 Regal T-Types, making it a bit rarer than a Grand National in 86’ with 2230 of them produced. The original engine was rebuilt last year which included porting and polishing the heads, polishing the valves, utilizing an ARP heavy duty bolt kit with a Cometic head gasket, adding a 3†down pipe with external waste gate and a new 4400 mm Precision Turbocharger. All told, these improvements bring the horsepower to an estimated 475+. A new, giant aluminum radiator and dual electric fans keep this 3.8L turbocharged six-cylinder engine at a proper operating temperature. The original transmission was also rebuilt and upgraded with a CK Performance kit to handle the extra power thrown its way. Also, a stall converter, shift kit, and new aluminum transmission pan that allows for an extra 2 quarts of fluid have been added to assist the transmission. Approximately 3,500 miles have been put on the rebuilt engine and transmission. New brakes adorn all 4 corners, which have been converted to vacuum setup and new booster as well. This Regal T-Type received a respray of the original dark gray color 2 years ago, and looks fantastic. The blue cloth interior is also in very good condition, free from any rips, tears, or major signs of wear. The odometer reads 83,050, which is believed to be the actual mileage on the car.
