For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a very neat and rare 1964 Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire. This silver wagon has a very unique feature. When you hand wind down the rear window and lower the tailgate, you can then slide the roof forward to allow for hauling tall items. The Wagonaire line of the Daytona series was produced from 1963 - 1966. This one is a 1964 and would be the last year to be equipped with an actual Studebaker engine. The Studebaker engine in this one is the 289 V8 and it looks great! Recently the engine was pulled out to be detailed along with the engine bay. Shifting the transmission is automatic and controlled via a column shift. Miles on this unique beauty are original at 65,333 and it shows. The Silver paint has been repainted at some point in time and still retains a great shine. The underside still has the undercoating from the dealer and its obviously done it job as the car is still retaining all its original sheet metal. Inside is the same story, original and looking great. Bench seats front and rear are covered with tan vinyl. Equipment includes Power steering, AM radio, seat belts, electric fuel pump and radial white wall tires. For more information possibly one of the coolest classic wagons, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com
