1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS powered by the great LS-6 454. 1970 was the last and greatest year for the horsepower war. The LS-6 454 produced an underrated 450 horsepower and was not to be messed with. This was the Hemi's arch nemesis and for good reason. High compression, solid lifters, high lift camshaft with loads of duration and an aluminum intake manifold with a thirsty 800 cfm Holley carburetor. This wild engine also featured forged internals, aluminum domed pistons and a four bolt main block. All this power needs to go somewhere, and this is where things continue with greatness. Shifting gears is accomplished by the great and near bullet proof Muncie M-22 Rock Crusher 4-speed. Power is then sent to the stout 12 bolt rear-end housing 4.10 gears with limited slip.

Obviously, the LS-6 engine makes for a lot of this car's value, but it doesn't stop there. The options on this one is never ending.
