For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1927 Ford Model T Roadster. This wild one is ready to terrorize the local cruise in. Power comes from a built Ford 429 Big block. That’s right! A Ford with a Ford engine. This torque monster sends gobs of power through a C6 3 speed automatic and back to a Ford 9 inch rear end. Adding to the wildness of being a Model A Roadster, this one is painted in an eye catching Red Metallic Clear coat with some very custom white flames, old fashioned pin stripes and a chrome hoop style roll bar. Finishing the look is a set of chrome tubular exhaust headers that end in matching side pipes. Wheels and tires consist of American Racing polished aluminum. The rears are 17" and are fitted with BFGoodrich 275/60R17 and the fronts are 15" with 195/60R15 also by BFGoodrich. Inside is a gray vinyl bench seat, a tilt steering column, an Italian Molina wood steering wheel, a Lokar shifter and VDO gauges to keep you well informed. The entire build has 6,360 miles and includes the built engine. The 429 Big Block was fitted with a double timing chain, a mild camshaft, an Aluminum Weind intake manifold and an Edelbrock four barrel carburetor. The engine was painted to a near match of the body and fitted with a Ford Racing dress up kit. Lifting the rear hatch will show the 12 gallon fuel tank and a portrait of Marilyn Monroe!
