1963 Ford Thunderbird

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a stainless steel over red 1963 Ford Thunderbird. The 390 CID V8 engine was bored 0.030 over and professionally rebuilt with Speed-Pro pistons/rings, King/Clevite bearings, ARP fasteners, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 750 CFM carburetor, Summit gold street-race oil pan, heads from a c4ae-g, and a c4ae-b (427) crank. All these additions and work have combined for an estimated 375 horsepower and 430 lb-ft torque! The professionally built Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission transfers the power to the Ford 9” rear end with 3.50 gears. This Thunderbird was built to participate on the Pro Touring circuit. On top of all the engine and transmission work, the brakes and suspension received a thorough look through. The top half of the car is wrapped in a custom vinyl wrap that appears like stainless steel, while the lower half is painted red, which combines for an interesting and unique look. The red vinyl interior is in good condition, free from major signs of wear. A neat feature to these Thunderbirds is the swing away steering wheel. Simply push the shifter to the right, slightly passed the park position, and the entire steering column will swing to the right, creating more room for the driver to exit the car. The odometer reads 109,932, while the actual mileage is unknown, about 5,500 miles have been put on the car since the recent restoration and engine work were complete.
