SeatbeltsFor sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird. This gorgeous Thunderbird is painted in a late model Ford color named Wedgewood Blue Metallic and it looks amazing on this luxurious bird.
Originally Silver Mink which isn't too terribly far away from the new color. Inside is a black interior in terrific condition and equipped with all the Thunderbird goodies. Equipment consists of Power windows, Power seats, Air Conditioning, Telescopic steering column and of course everyone's favorite; the swing away steering wheel. Power comes from a smooth running and torquey 390 V8. Both the 390 and the C6 automatic were rebuilt during the detailed restoration in 2008. The restorers did a fantastic job with this one and had it a bit easier due to the solid state of the car. This Thunderbird is still retaining all its original metal. The car had obviously been very well cared for over the years and it shows with the original interior. Recently fitted with new front disc brakes. This one drives as well as it looks.
One of the coolest features of the Thunderbird debuted in 1965 with sequential taillights and the set on this car are working as they should. 1966 was the last year for this Thunderbird generation and the world would be in for some substantial changes going forward making the '66 one of the last greats!
