This is a real deal Malibu SS car, as indicated by the 138 in the VIN, and was built in Kansas City, Missouri GM plant. The 283 CID V8 engine that sits under the hood is believed to be the original to the car as is the 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt at the time of the restoration, which took place about 7 years ago. Drilled and slotted power disc brakes adorn all 4 corners as well as American Racing polished aluminum/alloy wheels that provide a killer look and stance to this classic Malibu SS convertible.
The unique Evening Orchid exterior paint looks fantastic and is beautifully accented by the white vinyl interior and white power convertible top. With power steering, power brakes, and a power top, this 65 Chevelle Malibu is loaded with goodies and looking good. The odometer reads 93,793, the actual mileage is unknown, and there are approximately 7,000 miles on the restoration.
