This GTO is completely original from the factory and untouched and unadulterated. The first run of the Pontiac GTO debuted in 1964 and is widely considered to have ignited the 1960s muscle car era. Year after year the GTO saw performance upgrades and improvements. With its redesign in 1968 the GTO was selected Motor Trends 'Car of the Year'. With a reputation as the first muscle car the GTO name has become cemented as legend. After the GTO's departure in the 70s, the world went without it for decades until the car was redesigned in the form you see here.

Initially equipped with a 5.7L LS1 V8, the same engine found in the 2004 Chevrolet Corvette, the GTO busted onto the scene with a true performance edge on the competition. With America's lust for horsepower, the engine was upgraded to the LS2 V8 for 2004-2006. These legendary engines put down very impressive numbers of 400hp and 400 lb ft of torque. This one owner Quicksilver Metallic 2006 GTO represents the last and best of these unique vehicles. The owner reports 8,532 actual miles and the state of the gorgeous black leather interior testifies to this. The impressive LS2 powerplant is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and independent rear suspension that gives it some real handling finesse.
