The El Caminos were first introduced back in 1959 and were originally based off the Brookwood station wagon, later the Chevelle and finally the Monte Carlo or “G Body†of the '80s. It was a long run and people loved the car like ride with the use of a pick up.
Originally this one was equipped with a 305 V8. At some point in time, a couple or few owners ago that engine was removed and replaced with a GM 350 crate engine providing the power it should've had when new. This added power is sent through a TH 350 auto transmission with a shift kit. The rear is believed to be stock and is well suited for the highway. Equipment is typical for a car from the late '80's and includes Power steering, Power brakes, Power windows, Power locks, a tilt wheel and Air Conditioning. Paint is a two tone brown that goes well with the brown vinyl interior. The wheels look right at home on this EL Camino and are 5 star mag Crager aluminum 15" wheel wrapped with directional Good Year rubber. Miles on this 1985 Chevrolet El Camino are showing 28,137 and are marked as unknown due to lack of documentation proving actual.
