We are truly excited to offer this wonderfully restored 1954 Chevrolet 3100 for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis. It will be hard to find another fully functioning and smoother driver classic 3100 than this one here. This truck is really really nice and a great find. We've had other high quality 3100s here at the Saint Louis Showroom that were priced higher than this one, but nowhere near the quality. This is a good truck and well worth your further investigation.

BACKGROUND: Advance-Design was a truck series by Chevrolet, their first major redesign after WWII. It was billed as a larger, stronger, and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK Series. First available on Saturday June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955, when the Task Force Series trucks replaced the aging Advance-Design model. 1954 was the only year for significant design changes. Windshield now curved one-piece glass without center vertical dividing strip. Revised steering wheel. Revised dashboard. Cargo bed rails, previously angled, now horizontal. Tail lights round instead of rectangular. Grille changed from five horizontal slats to crossbar design commonly referred to as a "bull nose" grille. The 1954 engine was a 235 Straight Inline-Six Engine.

With this particular 1954 Chevrolet 3100, the rear end is out of a 1990 Chevrolet Camaro, the Gear Ration is 2.73, and the transmission if out of a 1992 Chevrolet S10. The powerplant is a 235 Straight Inline-Six Engine that is being motivated by a 12-volt system. It also has Crager wheels, Fenton intake & headers, Progressive two-barrel carburetor, HE ignition, and Smitty mufflers. The Wild Strawberry exterior paint job emits a brilliant shine and looks like it has been recently completed. There are no noticeable scratches, dents, or dings anywhere to be found on the body. The chrome shines like new. The interior does not show any tears, stains, odors, or imperfections and everything that you see work, including the emergency brake, gauges, and gears. The wood bedliner does not show any use and the tailgate opens and closes smoothly.
