BACKGROUND: Porsche produced the 944's from 1982-1991. This variant was based on the 912 platform and offered a near perfect weight distribution with rear-wheel drive and front engine placement. In 1984 Car and Driver gave the 944 'Best Handling" and the 944 was rated Top Ten Best by Car and Driver from 83-85! These accolades come as no surprise. This IS a driver's car. You cannot help but smile behind the wheel of this piece of history.
The black interior is well-cared for and has very few frills. The inside contrasts well with the Guards Red exterior. The paint shows extremely well and has a nice shine to it. The exterior of this 1985 Porsche 944 was repainted the original color in 2014 No major defects present themselves on the outside of the car. This is a vehicle you can be proud to show and happy to drive. All the excitement starts up front with a 2.5L 8 valve engine, sending power through the 5-speed manual transmission. This beautiful 944 has a removable top, and factory AC to keep the drive cool. Additional options include power windows, power locks, AC, vented top, power steering, power brakes, and a removable top.
