RPO Z15 signals the collector’s edition which was offered in this Sebring Silver Metallic, 3 interior color choices, and only a black convertible top. These editions also received ZR1 style wheels.
1996 was the final year for the C4 generation.
While this generation currently does not get a lot of credit it laid the foundation for what the platform has become today!
Only the manual transmission models in 1996 received the LT4 engine while this automatic version has the LT1 – a plenty stout engine especially at this mileage. For ease of cruising these vehicles came with a 4-speed automatic transmission that is incredibly highway friendly and actually pretty economical! For 1996 the transmissions received improved friction materials and a better torque converter.
Overall, the vehicle looks to be in great condition with no major flaws noticed inside or out. Like many Corvettes this appears to have been painstakingly cared for and maintained!
