Old town canoe Company has produced canoes and boats since 1898. They have been renown for there wood canoes and boats world wide for there craftsmanship that has gone unmatched. In 1917, the company decided to start making beautiful square sterned boats for the ever popular sportfishing market using the same brass tack and wood plank platform they used for there canoes. These beautiful wood boats were marketed with a detachable motor that was extremely popular for its time.
This one has been fully restored and very well maintained for being 85 years old. The original Johnson outboard motor on this one has been preplaced with a more modern 50’s 16HP Scott Outwater engine. This one has been epoxied and sealed from any rot. This beautiful time piece would make a fine addition to any boat or canoe collector.
