The C series and K series was Chevrolet and GMC's full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 1999 in the United States. The first Chevrolet pickup truck appeared in 1924, though in-house designs did not appear until 1930. The aging C/K light-duty pickup truck was replaced with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra names in 1999. There were many models of the C10 half ton pickup for sale, including; Step-Side, Fleet side, Panel and Suburban models and were available in 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, this one just happens to be the two wheel drive version. These new models came with a coil-spring front suspension in 1963 that made for a lot easier and smoother ride that is still retained today; along with a new base engine, a 140 hp 230 CID I6, and an optional 165 hp 292 CID (4.8 L) I6. The 230 C.I.D I6 has been completely rebuilt when the truck went under the knife during the restoration. Also new for 1963 was the introduction of the alternator. Calendar year production on the 1963 models totaled 483,119. This one owner pickup with all included sales documentation was part of that crowd. The single family farm truck for sale had been passed down from generation to generation.
