For one year only, Ford Motor Company offered approximately 4,100 limited edition Mustangs known as the California Special to a small number of dealers in the Golden State. The package included special stripping, Thunderbird taillights, rear deck spoiler, side fender scoops, and twist type hood pins. Originally a Highland Green GT/CS, the black knitted seats helped make this California Special one of one per Ford savant and authenticator, Kevin Marti (Report included).
