1966 AC Cobra

Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is a custom 1966 A/C Cobra Roadster. This very nice Cobra replica was professionally built by Thunder Carriages and was custom built to the customer's request. This 66 A/C Cobra has a beautiful exterior color of bright current red with raspberry red metallic ghost stripes and raspberry red metallic in the base coat. The exterior color is complimented very nicely by the black leather interior and black carpet. The power plant for this classic roadster is a very well built 351 Windsor V8 that was rebuilt with hydraulic lifter performance camshaft, aluminum intake and topped off with a Demon carburetor. The customization by the customer went a little further and he added Mallory distributor with an MSD 6AL ignition box and dressed out the engine with Cobra black aluminum valve covers and air cleaner with painted headers and side pipes. The massive power plant will stay nice and cool thanks to the Griffin aluminum radiator with 16 inch electric fan. The 351 Windsor V8 is linked to a very smooth shifting Ford C4 automatic transmission that was also rebuilt and has a brand new torque converter. The rear end is a totally rebuilt and narrowed Jaguar independent suspension with 3.50 gears, posi-traction and 4 Aldan coil over shock absorbers. Not only is this beautiful little roadster set up to go fast but it has plenty of stopping power thanks to the Jaguar disc brakes with 10 inch front rotors and 11 inch rear rotors with Mustang calipers. The car wheel base and body were also custom extended to 96 inches to make room for taller drivers and providing more leg room and comfort. Options include: A/C, AM/FM radio with CD player, manual convertible hard top, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, leather interior, Eagle aluminum/alloy wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich T/A radials.
