The Thunderbird was Ford’s direct response to the Chevrolet Corvette and underwent a rapid development process so it could ultimately be unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show in February of 1954. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbird's standard engine, and now produced about 245 horsepower. The shape of this car is undeniably 50’s and probably one of the most beautiful cars of its time. Being that this is a Continental package, you will immediately notice the spare tire on the back of the boot.
This ’56 Thunderbird has been meticulously maintained and garaged kept for most of its life. It comes loaded with standard features of its time such as Town & Country AM radio, convertible manual top, power brakes, power steering, telescoping steering wheel, and cold A/C as stated before! The interior of this car is incredible with even the clock and dashboard accessory light still working!
