The Collector Edition was the “farewell†model of the 50 year production cycle of the Eldorado lineup. It also ended an era of brute horsepower with the very famous 4.6L V8 Northstar engine that had 32 valves, and capable of over 300 horsepower mated to a front wheel drive automatic transmission; one of the most powerful luxury vehicles of its time.
