Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this powerful 1971 Ford Torino Coupe!
The Ford Torino earned its place among America's great muscle cars with bold styling and serious performance. By 1971, it had evolved into a wider, more aggressive machine that captured the golden age of horsepower. This beautifully restored example carries that legacy forward with modern upgrades that enhance both strength and refinement.

Driving this 1971 Ford Torino is an absolutely visceral experience, a blend of brute force, control, and modern precision wrapped in classic American muscle. Every upgrade was chosen to elevate how it drives, sounds, and feels behind the wheel.

Finished in brilliant Orange over a Black cloth and vinyl interior, this Torino makes a bold statement. The cabin is clean and comfortable with power steering, seatbelts, and an AM/FM radio for classic cruising enjoyment.

Power comes from a custom-built 545 cubic inch Ford big block V8, developed from a 460 block and estimated at 715 horsepower. A C6 automatic transmission with a shift kit and transbrake delivers crisp, firm shifts and thrilling acceleration. The Holley Sniper fuel injection system adds modern reliability and throttle response, while a Champion aluminum radiator with dual fans and a transmission cooler keeps everything running cool.

Caltrac suspension and Viking shocks improve traction and stability, allowing the car to stay planted under power. A Flowmaster exhaust delivers a deep, commanding tone that matches its muscle car character. Wilwood disc brakes provide modern stopping confidence, and the Cragar wheels wrapped in radial tires complete the classic performance look.

A Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.83 gears offers strong acceleration and easy cruising. With about four years of ownership and a history in New York, this Torino reflects pride and care throughout.

Behind the wheel, it feels raw yet composed, powerful yet precise. The throttle reacts instantly, the ride is stable, and the braking inspires complete confidence. This Torino does not just look the part; it delivers the full muscle car experience every time you turn the key.
