Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this stunning 1970 Plymouth Road Runner 440 Six Pack!

The 1970 Road Runner stands as one of the most recognized and respected muscle cars of its time-bold, brash, and built to perform. This example, a factory V-Code 440 Six Pack, 4-speed car (VIN: RM23V0E119421), captures everything enthusiasts love about classic Mopar muscle while reflecting the care and attention of thoughtful ownership.

Built in November 1969 at the Los Angeles Assembly Plant and reportedly sold new through Friendly Chrysler Plymouth Inc. of Los Angeles, California, this Road Runner is accompanied by documentation including its window sticker and fender tag, supporting its identity as a V-Code 440 Six Pack 4-speed car.

Undergoing a rotisserie restoration in 2004, this Road Runner remains striking in every detail. The exterior is finished in brilliant Lemon Twist Yellow (Y1), accented by a black vinyl top (V1X), black performance hood paint (V21), and transverse black stripes (V8X). This color combination is absolutely eye-catching and commands attention wherever it goes. Pull into a show, and the deep rumble of that 440 Six Pack V8 paired with the vivid Lemon Twist paint is sure to turn heads.

Inside, the black vinyl bucket seats (P6XA) and Rallye gauge cluster create an environment designed for the driver. Grab the Hurst pistol-grip shifter, and you'll immediately feel that unmistakable Mopar connection between man and machine. Under the hood, the 440 cubic inch Six Pack V8 breathes through triple two-barrel Holley carburetors and is paired with the legendary A833 4-speed manual transmission. Flip the switch for the Air Grabber hood, and the scoop rises to pull in fresh air-an experience that never gets old.

Performance appears to be enhanced by A33 Track Pak equipment, including a 9-inch Dana rear axle with 3.54 gears, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded cooling and braking systems. Together, they deliver the kind of raw, mechanical thrill that defined the golden age of muscle cars. The odometer shows 73,677 miles, indicating years of careful use and preservation since the restoration.

From the sound of the Six Pack's idle to the feel of that pistol-grip shifter, this Road Runner isn't just a car-it's an experience. The Lemon Twist finish pops in the sunlight, the exhaust note commands attention, and every drive feels like a trip back to 1970. This is the kind of car that turns every outing into an event.

Features include: Air Grabber hood, Rallye Road Wheels, AM radio with 8-track stereo, dual exhaust, black vinyl top, transverse stripe package, and raised white-letter tires.
