Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this charming 1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Oldsmobile had won a reputation for itself at General Motors by leading the way in engineering breakthroughs, such as Hydra-Matric automatic transmission, first seen on the 1940 models, and the modern high compression Rocket ohv V-8 engine that debuted in 1949. Debuting for 1961 the F-85 Cutlass was marketed as one of GM's upscale "senior" compacts. Related to the Buick Special and Pontiac Tempest, it was built on a highly innovative for its day unibody frame. This 62 hardtop is quite a looker dressed in a stunning shade of red with white roof. As you walk around the vehicle youll notice nice details like the front end bright work and intact trim pieces. Take a seat inside and youre greeted to a spacious and well appointed cabin. Eye catching red vinyl really makes the interior pop and the gauges are set up well for driving. Under the hood is Oldsmobiles all-aluminum, 215 cubic inch "Rockette" V-8. Boasting a hearty 185hp and spinning with a compression ratio of 10.25:1 this was one advanced engine for the time. Backed by Oldsmobile's 3-speed hydromantic transmission imagine how this car can get up and go! According to the owner this vehicle went through a restoration in the late 90s and has received recent mechanical attention to the carburetor, motor mounts and more. According to the owner the Air filter is adorned with the autographs of Hollywood stars Henry Winkler and John Schneider! If youre looking for a well taken care of Oldsmobile this is the one you want to own! Options include AM radio, power steering, radial tires, rally wheels and vinyl interior.
