Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is excited to present this 1968 Plymouth Barracuda, a classic example of one of America's most famous, iconic, and recognizable racecars, that turns heads wherever it goes. Built to be driven on the street, you can experience the rare performance of a professionally built race hemi as well as cruise to your favorite car show or drive-in.
First impressions are important and the bright silver paint on this gorgeous Barracuda leaves you almost speechless. The multiple layers of "Billet Silver" beautifully applied by Rick Perry of Rick Perry's Custom Paints shimmers from all angles in the sun or shade. Equally impressive is the interior. The vibrant blue interior with crushed pile carpet and tweed accents creates a striking contrast to the dazzling Billet Silver paint.
The build itself began after an exhaustive search by a very demanding owner for a well preserved desert body. The search resulted in finding a car with the above qualifications. The car was then shipped to John Wallauer Race Cars in St Cloud Florida for complete disassembly and fabrication. John Wallauer is renowned for his many high-quality and award winning builds. The result was even more accolades from show judges who knew what they were looking at. This gleaming 1968 Cuda has won numerous first place awards throughout the Southeastern states, including First in Class at the prestigious Mopars At Big Daddy's Annual Car Show. Additionally, it was also a feature car in Mopar Muscle Magazine.
Some owner stated features include:
-tuned by Randy Blanchard
-all factory body panels
-Reilly Motorsports coil-over front suspension
-Flaming River rack and pinion steering
-BeCool Polished Billet Aluminum Radiator with dual Spal fans
-MSD electronic ignition system
-Edelbrock hemi aluminum heads

-JW Performance 2800 stall converter
-Customized aluminum fuel tank

In conclusion, this 1968 Plymouth Barracuda is a rare find, considering the "no expense spared" level of this build. Don't miss out on this opportunity to experience what famous Mopar race car drivers like Ronnie Sox experienced, but also cruise to a car show.
