Description

Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is excited to present this 1964 Plymouth Fury. The sleek lines and bold presence of this Fury make it a standout on any road, capturing the attention of enthusiasts and collectors alike. Under the hood lies the heart of this beast: a 440 with a 4.350-inch bore and a stroke of 4.250 to bring the displacement to 505cid. The motor was also upgraded with a steel crank, h-beam rods, forged pistons, Edelbrock Victor heads and intake, a two-piece valley plate, Hughes hydraulic roller cam, Morrell roller lifters, Hughes 1.6 roller rockers, a Holley HP carb, MSD 6AL Ignition, MSD Pro billet distributor, and a PRC Radiator. The 727 Torqueflight transmission was rebuilt and sends power through the custom driveshaft to the 8 3/4 posi rear end with 3.73 gears. Safety and control are paramount in this classic vehicle, with features such as Calvert Racing shocks, CalTracs traction bars, custom frame rail connectors, power brakes and power steering providing enhanced handling and stopping power. The inclusion of seatbelts underscores a commitment to safety, ensuring peace of mind for both driver and passengers. For those with a passion for performance, the racing slicks offer an added edge, delivering exceptional traction and stability. The one-piece aluminum dash was cut by water jet and crafted a custom headliner with an aluminum insert to match the dash. The door panels are custom cut and covered too, and the seats appointed in luxurious custom leather. The Plymouth Fury is more than just a car; it is a symbol of an era where style, power, and innovation converged. This remarkable vehicle invites you to relive the glory days of American automotive history, offering an unparalleled driving experience that is both thrilling and nostalgic. Whether you are a collector or an enthusiast, this Fury is a rare gem that promises to deliver on all fronts.
