Out of the 100 Stage 3 Blackjacks made by Roush in 2007, only one was a convertible and you're looking at it! Such a one off car should be well preserved and kept safe from the harsh desert sun and other elements and that's exactly what we have here. A mere 926 miles were on the odometer when this car came in! This car carries a very high provenance, being originally auctioned at the Celebrity Fight Night extravaganza benifiting Parkinsons research at a star studded event in honor of the Greatest of all times, Muhhammad Ali. Roush Performance never fails to surprise with a special and rare Edition cars that they build. In 2007 The big story of the year for Roush was the 100 unit run of the 2007 Roush BlackJack Stage 3 Mustang. The 2007 Roush BlackJack of course is the stealthy Black Mustang with a Flat Black stripe treatment, patterned after Jack's personal car. One Roush BlackJack Stage 3 Mustang was built as a convertible. The car was auctioned off to a lucky bidder during the Celebrity Fight Night extravaganza in Phoenix AZ at the JW Marriot Desert Ridge Resort on March 24th, 2007 for an astonishing $225,000.00. This made it likely the most expensive one ever! This event has been recognized as one of the nation's elite charity events and has become a star studded evening presented in Honor of legendary boxer Mahammad Ali , Celebrities and professional athletes from all over the country participate in this night filled with incredible live auction items and musical performances by many of the day's brightest stars. Attendees over the years are a "Who's Who" from the sports, entertainment and music worlds. Including Robin Williams, Jim Carey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and dozens more!!The car also has another interesting fact it is serial number 13 making it very lucky indeed. The 4.6 liter V8 was already a potent engine but once Jack Roush got his hands on it and massaged the horsepower to 435hp thanks to a roots style supercharger and other supporting mods including brakes and suspension as well as body. The 5 speed manual transmission gives a very mechanical feel to the driving experience and the very thought that this car isn't due for its first oil change for just over 2000 miles from now is mind blowing. Features and Options include A/C, Aluminum Chrome Plated Wheels, Anti Lock Power Brakes, Anti-Theft System, AM/FM/CD Radio, Automatic Convertible Top, Cruise Control, Driver and Passenger Airbag, Leather Interior, Window Tint, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Windows, Power Seats, Power Steering, Performance Tires, Seatbelts, Tilt Steering and Traction Control.
