Description

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to digitally present this one-of-a-kind 1930 Ford Model A Rat Rod.

Built for attitude, engineered for performance, and designed to stop traffic - this sinister custom Rat Rod takes the raw spirit of early hot rodding and injects it with modern muscle and craftsmanship.

At its core, this beast features a 1977 350 small-block Chevy, bored .030 over and pushing out an impressive 400 horsepower with a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Performance upgrades include Summit steel heads with 65cc compression chambers, 160/202 intake valves, an Edelbrock camshaft (234/244 duration, .488/.510 lift, 112 separation), hydraulic roller lifters, a Torker intake, and an Edelbrock carburetor. A heavy-duty oil pump keeps everything lubricated under pressure - because this motor was built to roar.

Power is sent through a Richmond 5-speed manual transmission and a McLeod hydraulic clutch, feeding a 12-bolt GM Posi rear end. The result? Tire-shredding torque and a driving experience that feels more like taming a beast than piloting a car.

The custom-built chassis is outfitted with coil-overs and a 4-link rear suspension, giving the car stability and control while maintaining that menacing low stance. Power steering ensures command of the road, while heat and even a sunroof add some creature comforts to the otherwise bare-knuckle driving experience.

Finished in a deep matte black, this Model A looks like it rolled fresh out of a post-apocalyptic movie - chopped, slammed, and oozing personality from every angle. The exposed engine bay, wide rear tires, and custom side-exit exhaust complete the aggressive stance, and the odometer reflects miles since the engine rebuild, ensuring authenticity.
