Description

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to digitally present this 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Tribute, a high-impact restomod that captures the unmistakable attitude of the golden muscle era with modernized performance and craftsmanship to match.

According to its VIN (XH29N0C195121), this Charger began life as a 1970 Dodge Charger two-door hardtop built at Chrysler's Jefferson Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit. The "N" code originally designated a 383 cubic-inch V8, but this build has evolved far beyond its factory roots - now wearing the R/T look and the performance to back it up.

Under the hood sits a 400 cubic-inch big block V8, built with a solid cam (.670 lift) and Mopar Stage 6 heads, creating the kind of raw mechanical symphony that only a big-block Mopar can deliver. Power is routed through a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission with a 10-inch converter, transferring torque to a 3.91 rear gear setup that makes this Charger leap off the line with authority. Shifts come through a Hurst Quarter Stick, mounted proudly on the tunnel like a badge of honor - every pull of that lever is a reminder that this Charger wasn't built to cruise quietly. It was built to command the road. The build also features Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, ensuring that all that muscle has the stopping power it deserves.

Finished in Viper Red with R/T badging, hood pins, and a menacing cowl hood scoop, this Charger combines old-school menace with show-stopping presentation. It rides on polished aluminum wheels wrapped in performance rubber, complementing its aggressive stance. Inside, a custom interior pairs black vinyl with subtle modern upgrades, keeping the car true to its vintage vibe while enhancing comfort and control.

This restomod isn't about chasing originality - it's about celebrating performance, sound, and presence. Every choice made here serves one purpose: to deliver the kind of driving experience that makes your pulse race and the world around you blur.

The 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Tribute is an icon reborn - part showpiece, part street machine, and entirely unforgettable.
