Though originally a 6-cylinder car, the original power plant has been yanked in favor of a 350 cubic inch V8 crate engine rated at 330 hp and a 4-speed manual transmission. A deep throaty rumble bellows from the iron lump under the hood. The transmission shifts smoothly, the steering tracks true, and the engine runs like a top.

The slick red paint on this drop top Chevy shines like a ruby and is laid down like glass. The black convertible top looks like new and goes up and down with ease. The custom black and red interior brings some spice into the Novas otherwise basic interior. The entire restoration has only seen about 5,200 miles since completion, and it shows. The Heidts front suspension and rack and pinion steering are tight and keep the Nova under control with ease. The coilover shocks on all 4 corners keep the ride firm, but still very enjoyable for longer cruises.
