This one is powered by the top of the line (for the year) 4.5l V8 gasoline engine mated to an automatic transmission that was replaced in 2004. The car is set up like it came from the factory with no aftermarket modifications and no non-working items except for the antenna. It features the Dayton Cross Bead Lace wire wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The interior was replaced with new original style carpet and vinyl on door panels in 2005 due to wear and to restore the condition. Inside you will find the original tan perforated leather seats in both the front and back. It features power steering, power assisted drum brakes, seat belts, A/C, cruise control, power windows, AM/FM/CD and the removable hardtop. In 2004 the car was repainted Jet Black as a preference over the factory metallic copper, 90% of the seals in the doors, trunk, windows, hard top and windows were replace, the dashboard was also redon by Mercedes, 3rd member was replaced and the convertible top was replaced in 2005. In 2003 the engine received a timing chain replacement, plugs and plug wires. This car was dubbed the R107 and C107 for its production, with the SL being the R107.
