The Prowler was a revolutionary design at a time when a lot of cars started to all look the same. Powering this Prowler down the road is the second-generation motor. The Prowler featured a power-train from Chrysler's LH-cars, a 24-valve, 3.5 L Chrysler SOHC V6 engine producing 214 hp at 5850 rpm. For the 1999 model year, the engine was replaced with a more powerful, aluminum-block, 253 hp at 6400 rpm version of the engine. Backing the 253HP V6 is a 4-speed Autostick automatic transmission, which is located near the rear of the drive train, giving the car a perfect 50/50 front to rear weight ratio. All equipment on the car is as it came from the factory.
