This Van is a single family owned and well-maintained piece of history. The vehicle was purchase by the current owner’s grandparents back in 1982. It was purchased overseas in Belgium with most of it’s travel time going through Europe and South America. It’s powered by a strong running 1.6L Turbo-Diesel engine with only an estimated 30,000 miles on it since the rebuild. This cool camper runs through the gears with a 4-speed manual transmission which shifts smoothly through the gears. The rebuild was performed by “North Park Volkswagen†in San Antonio. This Van has been constantly driven with the original owner enjoying each ride past the age of 90 just out of sheer enjoyment.
Walking around this Westfalia you will find everything is in original condition to include the paint. It has its scratches and bumps here and there but give it some nice history. Remaining in original condition, the car is in great shape for its age. Some of its features include: Stove, refrigerator, and even 2 area that’ll sleep a total of 4 people. This van has a few minor flaws as anything at this age would but nothing keeping it from hitting the road.
