Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this 1968 Buick Skylark GS 400. The GS line was built up as a high-performance luxury line of vehicle and was only surpassed in luxury by Cadillac of their era.

This Buick is powered by a 400 CID V8 that very well may be the original engine, but the last few digits are a bit harder to make out on the engine block. The engine is paired to a Turbo 400 transmission that shifts through the gears with ease. To give the car a nice rumble, itâ€™s been fitted with a set of Hooker Headers with dual exhaust trailing out the rear. Remaining in original condition the car is a great driver, or even a good starter into the classic car world.

The car is coated in whatâ€™s said to be the original paint which is an â€œAqua Mistâ€ or for those with a limited color wheel itâ€™s a â€œlight blueâ€. With a few cosmetic blemishes this car has great potential and needs someone to take it the rest of the way. The car sits on some classic style wheels wrapped in radial tires which are in good condition.

The interior of the car is in very good condition keeping the original black color. The car has recently had a new headliner installed. This GS also features the original gauge cluster with the addition of a Tach, Temp gauge, and an aftermarket stereo system. With a little bit of fresh paint, and some TLC this car has great show potential. If you are a fan of the more raw, authentic look then this is the car for you.
