Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This is an original, numbers matching 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This first-generation beauty was designed by Chevrolet to be built off the same platform as the Chevelle, which shows it's many similarities, but also introduced many of the luxury designs found in the Cadillac El Dorado. First designed in 1970, these were very well-optioned cars for this era. They did not stray away from the ideas that American cars, while being large and comfortable, should not be lacking in horsepower. This Monte Carlo is built with a 350-cubic inch engine, which is one of the most produced engines to date. The 1972 Monte Carlo was the final year for the first-generation design. In 1972, Chevrolet wanted to change the market position of the Monte Carlo to a personal luxury car, and the manual transmission was discontinued, to which the new car brochure simply stated, "Sorry, no four-on-the-floor." The transmission in this Monte Carlo is the 3-speed automatic. The exterior styling of this Monte is painted yellow. The exterior lines of the Monte Carlo are clean and noticeably uncluttered. Inside, you'll find the same. Simplicity and tranquility. The seats are designed like a good mattress. They leave you feeling comfortable and refreshed, whether you sit in them six minutes, or six hours. Springs and molded foam cushioning are carefully designed to support your back's natural weaknesses. Think of the instrument panel as something European. Where gauges and controls are highly accessible to both hand and eye. The wood grain pattern is Carpathian burled elm, specifically chosen to complement this Monte Carlo's black vinyl. Options include: AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires, seat belts and rally wheels. In 1972, GM’s marketing campaign was, “Chevrolet: Building a Better Way to See the USA.” If you'd like a better way of seeing the USA, make this Monte yours with one phone call!!!
