Hudson Motor Car Company manufactured vehicles from 1909 to 1954 in Detroit, Michigan and later merged with Nash-Kelvinator to form American Motors Corporation (AMC). Hudson pioneered many first in the automotive industry, including a balanced crankshaft which allowed for more power out of smaller 6-cylinder engine blocks. The flathead “Super Six" in this car is specifically a 288 cubic inch displacement and for 1929 was rated at 92 horsepower. The motor is paired to a 3-speed manual transmission with the shifter located on the floor and provides an authentic but spirited driving experience. It's not as slow as you might think! Onlookers are particularly impressed by the overall appearance of this vehicle, which has been repainted in Green and Black two tone. There's a lot of body to take in on this imposing Hudson, from the large cylindrical ‘Parabeam' headlights up front to the spare tire holders, vinyl roof, wood spoke wheels and rear luggage rack.
