Chrome is plentiful with trim pieces, badging as well as the center caps on the 15" steel wheels. Powering this V-Dub is a 1600cc air-cooled 4 cylinder engine with a single carburetor setup. The 4-speed manual transmission that comes with this Beetle is the best way to enjoy any classic Volkswagen. The odometer reads just under 42,000 miles but the seller believes this may have “rolled over" so there could be more miles on the body of the car. Similar to the exterior, the clean interior shows well and the Red vinyl seats have shoulder belts for safety. The door panels are also upholstered in the red vinyl and Gray carpet gives a good color combination. Continuing the simple theme this VW offers, there's just a speedometer and fuel gauge for driver information- both were noted as functioning during our arrival inspection of the vehicle. The Tisonic radio/cassette player fitted in the dash could be considered a vintage item on its own but of course is not original to the car.
