Powering this fun little Buggy is a 1600cc flat four VW engine with a Crane Cam and electric ignition, gives this dune buggy plenty of pep in its step. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, reflecting the recent rebuild. When looking over this engine set up, you will notice that it looks way different than other VW engines. It dressed for shows to appear as if it is powered by methane gas! It is powered by real gas but still has a back to the future look to the engine compartment and is a real attention getter.
