Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this unique 1970 Leyland Mini Moke. The Mini Moke is based on the Mini designed for the British Motor Company by Sir Alec Issigonis and John Sheppard. This example is a Leyland which means it was from Australia. According to the seller of this unique machine there were about 50,000 Mini Mokes produced from 1964-1993. With few military sales, marketed instead in Portugal, Australia, and the Caribbean islands as a “fun vehicle" for rentals. About 1,500 make their way to the U.S. This right-hand drive model has a dummy wheel on the left. This Moke is claimed to be a ground up restore with a Galvanized body. The exterior is painted in a gloss blue with white grille, white bumpers, and white hub caps. The interior features tan vinyl interior with seat belts, CD/iPod stereo with upgraded speakers, and even a spare tire. Powering this Moke is a 1100CC Inline 4-cylinder engine that is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. If you are looking for something unique to cruise around town in, this could be the vehicle for you.
