The Chevy Superior Series, launched in 1923, was targeted to compete with Ford's Model T as an affordable, reliable car for the common man. The Superior series culminated in 1926 with the Series V as Chevy became poised to finally overtake Ford's sales lead. This 1926 Two Door Coach was a mid-priced entry and offered an enclosed cabin for passenger comfort. Equipped with a 171 CID 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed manual transmission, this 2 Door Coach rides on white wall tires mounted on the traditional wooden spoke wheels, which were a no cost option that year.
