The name Hi-Boy was given to these radical creations due to the body sitting higher off the frame and the fenders and running board being torn off. They were intended for racing so the weight reduction alone gave them a huge advantage. Not to mention the much more powerful engine that were dropped into these little body drop tops. This example is true to the original style and shows extremely nice. The red paint sitting on black painted wheels wrapped in white wall tires with baby moon hubcaps is spot on for the hotrod look. The white leather interior is an awesome accent you can see from a distance. Under the hood is a High Performance 327 CID V8 engine that is mated to an automatic transmission. This thing sounds amazing with the chopped exhaust and sports an Edelbrock intake and carburetor. This thing is an absolute blast to drive. Inside the leather interior is clean and very comfortable and sports custom-made white door panels finishing off the custom design.
